Why we exist

Our work is grounded in justice, dignity, and belonging. We advocate for equal citizenship, social inclusion, and legal recognition of all Indigenous Banyarwanda as Ugandan citizens

Many of Ugandan Bayarwanda miss out on basic rights because they are different. We work with Ugandan Banyarwanda community as one of the indigenous groups in defense of their rights

Igniting Hope with Acts of Kindness to fellow brothers and sisters in Uganda

The Council for Abavandimwe is dedicated to supporting and protecting the rights of Indigenous Banyarwanda Community in Uganda. Although recognized as Uganda's 24th tribe under the 1995 Constitution, Indigenous Banyarwanda Community still face discrimination, particularly in securing citizenship and travel documents, with some questioned about their Ugandan identity
